About Us
The Georgia Black Women’s Chamber of Commerce was founded by Charmaine Moss in 2024.
Charmaine started the chamber with the belief that Black business women should have a forum
where they could gain momentum, express their thoughts, and come together
as one voice – to be heard by all throughout the state of Georgia.
WHO WE ARE
The Georgia Black Women’s Chamber of Commerce (GBWCC) is a dynamic, for-profit business organization created to empower, connect, and elevate Black women entrepreneurs, professionals, and business leaders across the state of Georgia.
Founded by visionary publisher and ecosystem builder Charmaine Hutchinson, GBWCC was established to address the unique challenges Black women face in business—while creating real pathways to growth, visibility, access, and economic power.
We are more than a chamber.
We are a movement.
GBWCC serves as a centralized hub where Black women-owned businesses can build sustainable companies, expand their networks, increase revenue, and gain access to the resources needed to thrive. Through strategic programming, mentorship, media exposure, curated marketplaces, and intentional partnerships, we help our members move from hustle to legacy.
Our work is rooted in three core pillars:
Commerce
Supporting business development, growth, and profitability
Connection
Creating meaningful relationships, collaborations, and community
Culture
Honoring the power, creativity, and influence of Black women
Through signature initiatives such as mentorship programs, financial empowerment workshops, media partnerships, vendor marketplaces, travel experiences, and leadership development opportunities, GBWCC creates spaces where Black women are not only supported—but celebrated and positioned for success.
At our core, we believe:
When Black women win, communities thrive
Ownership creates power
Visibility creates opportunity
Visibility creates opportunity
Whether you are just starting your business journey or scaling an established brand, the Georgia Black Women’s Chamber of Commerce is where culture meets commerce—and purpose meets profit.
